Say No to New Beverage Taxes

Beverage taxes have been proposed again in the 83^rd Texas Legislation in an effort to “raise funds for public education and encourage people to make healthier beverage choices.” It has been proven that a tax on certain beverages will not teach people healthy lifestyles or change their behavior. The proposed tax is nothing more than a money grab.

No Texas Beverage Tax is a coalition of concerned citizens, businesses, workers and community organizations that oppose a new tax on many of our favorite beverages.
